Job Description
The client is looking for an Electrical Project Manager to oversee multiple electrical construction projects from planning through closeout, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable regulations. This role involves managing project schedules, cost forecasting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, contract scoping, and client communication, while maintaining knowledge of billing, risk management, safety standards, and NEC/Federal/State code requirements.
Essential Duties
- Control any number of projects at various stages of work.
- Consult with client to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation, and prepare information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
- Plan project layouts and integrate engineering elements into a unified design for client review and approval.
- Perform cost management/forecasting.
- Understand insurance requirements (BR, GL, etc.) and bonding requirements.
- Provide trade contract scoping/writing.
- Develop project schedules.
- Provide advanced quantity take-offs.
- Oversee procurement (materials and equipment).
- Manage, maintain, and interact with subcontractors.
- Knowledge in accounting, progress billing, risk management, safety, legal, budget control, schedule control, submittals, change orders, quality, project meetings, document control, and project close-out
- Knowledge of Project tools
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and NEC regulations
- OSHA 10 certification preferred or in process.
