Job Description:

Resource in this role:
  • Monitors and analyzes Help Desk requests; performs initial triage, evaluation, second tier resolution, or transfers requests to a senior level technician as needed.
  • Creates and manages DHCP reservation records utilizing Microsoft DHCP Server.
  • SMB network scanning including Windows File Server management, Folder, and Share security. 
  • Network Printing Administration: Deployments - involves managing print servers, configuring printer queues & ensuring proper permissions are set for users. Removals - safely decommissioning printers from networks making sure user access is removed & associated data is handled properly. Scanning/Troubleshooting - addressing issues related to network connectivity, printer malfunctions & user problems. May involve diagnosing problems through network protocols like DNS and DHCP.
  • Administers secure user access to AD and Azure secured shared resources for Executive Branch agencies; ensures access is compliant with HIPPA, CJIS, PCI, FTI, FERPA, etc. requirements.
  • Works with PowerShell/Graph scripts to provide efficiencies for and optimization.
  • Provides file recovery with Volume Shadow Services and current file backup software. Provides guidance for user self-service of cloud file and email recovery.
  • Develops, maintains, and follows, documentation related to MCS processes, procedures, and standards. Contributes ideas for process and workflow improvement.
  • Partners with technicians from other divisions and bureaus to provide support and solutions.
  • Follows all established client and State policies, standards, and procedures.
