Job Description
The company is looking for a Intermediate Systems Engineer to support hardware installations, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities at customer sites. This role will develop deployment documentation and technical specifications, resolve installation and boot-up issues, and serve as a customer contact for deployment-related inquiries. The ideal candidate will have experience with large-scale hardware deployments in a government environment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel frequently while supporting mission-critical systems.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop deployment support documentation for customers
- Work with the management to develop deployment specifications and configurations
- Analyze and troubleshoot deployment issues in a timely manner
- Act as customer contact for deployment related inquiries and issues
- Install and test hardware at customer sites
- Create technical artifacts needed for deployments at customer sites
- Troubleshoot malfunction occurrences during hardware installations
- Bachelor’s degree (in computer science, engineering, or mathematics) + 5 yrs. related experience
- Must be able to lift at least 30lbs
- Experience using power tools
- Experience troubleshooting installation/boot-up issues
- Prior knowledge and experience with mid-to-large hardware refreshes/deployments in a government environment
- Must have analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have time management, priority allocation and task management skills
- Ability to interact with customers and team members
- Must be able to work in a time-sensitive environment installing hardware on mission-critical systems
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be able to travel- travel will be frequent
- Excellent customer service, Interpersonal skills and communication skills are required
