General Statement of Duties :
To perform responsible technical data analysis, data management input, research and quality management research work in connection with data procedural policy and methods. Collects, analyzes, and interprets data from the multiple electronic platforms, necessary for compliance with the measurement goals established by the Clinical Quality Improvement Program and operational support and to do related work as required.
Supervision Exercised :
Assists a superior in the supervision of the work in data management, research, analysis and complex technical data systems.
Illustrative Examples of Work Performed:
- To perform responsible technical data research, analysis, and methods work and analyses in connection with procedural policy, methods and operational support, especially those of a broad, comprehensive, and complex nature requiring the making of recommendations on quality management endeavors, having the effect of finality relative to: the making of independent studies and independent research of the feasibility of proposed new and existing quality improvement projects, policies, methods and procedures; the evaluation of data objectives, efficiency, effectiveness and suitability.
- To create and review the compilation of, and to edit data reports of a state program.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data from multiple data platforms necessary for compliance with measurements goals established by the Clinical Quality Improvement Program.
- To assist with data and applications to prepare and provide quality improvement recommendations based on available data to internal programs and funded sub-recipient programs.
- Generates monthly performance reports
- Assists with shaping priority focus areas for the program through data analysis, assisting in the preparation and provision of the analytics needed to support service delivery and requirements
- Participates in departmental meetings and the Quality Improvement Program.
- Identify and report missing information on data platforms.
- Assist, prepare and participate with vendor training and presentations surrounding data endpoints, input and analysis.
- Prepare, analyze, and monitor agency performance measure evaluation endpoints and create internal and external reports.
- Assist with Federal Data report preparation and submission.
- Assist and prepare data analysis, research and data applications and assist with daily operations of the program.
- Work with other team members in the areas of program administration, fiscal, data and quality.
- Work with other cross-collaborating programs for data evaluation and provide reports to the internal team.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Additional Duties Include
- Assisting and preparing with annual site visits to funded agencies in relationship to quality data endpoints, coordination of programmatic data activities with other functional units and financial staff and performing other related work as required.
- To perform varied programmatic data support activities under the supervisor of the Assistant Director. And Project Director.
- To perform data assistant work which requires the exercise of independent judgement in following clearly prescribed processes and procedures; and to do related work as required.
Supervision Received :
Works directly under the administrative direction of the Assistant Director and Program Director but will also work closely with other team members such as fiscal, data and quality. This position has latitude for the exercise of independence, initiative and judgement in the formulation of programmatic data procedures upon Assistant Director approval. Work is subject to review through consultations and written reports for satisfactory performance and conformance with applicable laws, policies, codes, directives, rules and regulations.
Education and Experience :
- Such as may have been gained through graduation from a college and such as may have been gained through at least 3-5 years of extensive employment in a highly responsible professional position involving data analysis, research and data management and applications in a health system delivery system, public health system, where practices, techniques and project coordination were within a large private or governmental setting.
- Or any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience
