Job Description:
Summary:
The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of inventory movement, ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement, storage, and distribution of medical and non-medical supplies and equipment. This role is pivotal in supporting the healthcare organization's supply chain needs while maintaining high standards of service and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily activities of inventory need, including receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment.
- Manage staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity and job satisfaction.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular audits and cycle counts, ensuring timely replenishment and minimizing stockouts.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of supplies.
- Monitor and manage the budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Oversee the implementation and use of technology solutions to streamline inventory needs and operations process.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, conducting regular inspections and training sessions.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their supply needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Prepare and present reports on performance metrics to senior management.
