Job Summary:
The DTE Program/Project Manager is role within DTE-PMSO Organization reporting directly to the Sr. Director, DTE-GMDA, Quality, Regulatory Portfolio, with dotted line matrixed reporting to the DTE Business Engagement Leader supporting the respective function. The Program/Project Manager will have both strategic and execution delivery responsibilities for the portfolio of programs/projects supporting this business function. Building on the current DTE-Functional strategy, the team will design, develop, and deliver on technology initiatives aligned with the business priorities. The Program/Project Manager will be charged with hands-on management of all Project/Program Management activities, ensuring accurate status reporting across all workstreams and driving the program outcomes.
The Program/Project Manager must have relevant PMO-related experience, specifically leading projects in the relevant business and technology domains. This experience will be critical in understanding the process challenges and the technology being implemented, which will help the Program/Project Manager facilitate successful delivery outcomes.
The Program/Project Manager will work closely with the business sponsors, stakeholders, DTE leaders, and the cross-functional teams and ensure that it aligns with business-driven strategies, goals, and objectives.
The Program/Project Manager will be responsible for hands-on execution of the programs/projects within the DTE-GMDA, Quality, Regulatory Portfolio. This includes responsibility for:
- Program and Workstream Governance
- Scope and Schedule Management
- Resource and Financial Management
- Risk and Issue Management (including cross-functional impact assessment/mitigation)
- Dependency Management (both within the program and externally)
- Integration Management
- Stakeholder, Communications and Change Management
- Business Adoption and Acceptance / Client Satisfaction
The Program/Project Manager is expected to be heavily involved in monitoring status, anticipating challenges, unblocking issues, managing dependencies, and providing accurate updates to business sponsors and stakeholders. The Program/Project Manager will also be responsible for directly managing project workstreams as required. When external consulting teams are involved, the Program/Project Manager will be responsible for managing the Project Management resources from that external team and ensuring that these important projects/workstreams are accurately reflected in PMSO (Project Management and Strategic Operations) project management systems and reporting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Knowledge and Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Project/Program Management
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing large-scale, complex programs and projects
- Training and experience with Agile practices
- Experience working specifically in life sciences industry

- Demonstrated leadership presence and drive
- Proven capabilities in leading high-performing program teams. Ability to effectively organize and motivate cross-functional teams in diverse locations to achieve goals and implement a common vision
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to clearly and succinctly express ideas
- Experience facilitating program and project meetings and effectively holding team members accountable for status, deliverables, and the timely escalation of blockers
- Unfailing commitment to representing program status in an accurate and timely manner, weekly or in near real time when changes occur
- Successful track record of managing vendors and vendor-implemented packaged software
