Job Description:
Perform reception, telephone and customer service duties inclusive of the following at an Agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in the Providence area.
Candidates must be able to :
- To promote a good public image in all customer contact
- To maintain a high level of composure and judgement while working under pressure handling customers.
- To perform routine repetitive reception duties that may involve clerical work for counselors/clients (copies, search web); greeting clients and contacting appropriate personnel; receiving and providing information, interact with security and other building personnel as needed.
- To operate a central telephone control console or a private exchange to answer incoming agency telephone inquiries.
- To make local connections and as required, to transfer calls from one line to another.
- To transfer call to outside agencies as needed.
- To disseminate accurate authorized information to clients regarding the activities of the agency or other community service agencies as needed.
- To receive information from clients and route accordingly.
- To access and maintain a Google Calendar for managing conference room reservations(s).
- To maintain reception area and adjacent conference and meeting rooms in proper order.
- To demonstrate proficiency with computer programs such as Word/Excel/Outlook.
- To utilize a computer based case management information system to look up information as needed.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel necessary.
- Provide clerical support to agency staff as needed
- Other related duties as assigned
- Bilingual- Spanish fluency desired
