  • Design and support Power BI semantic models(datasets), ensuring proper relationships, metric definitions, hierarchies, and performance optimization.
  • Work across multiple Power BI workspaces, applying best practices for workspace organization, dataset ownership, access control, and deployment workflows.
  • Refactor existing models to improve analytical correctness, reuse, clarity, and performance.
  • Partner with analysts and developers to validate metrics, relationships, and grain so Power BI reports accurately reflect business and clinical logic.
  • Recommend appropriate modeling strategies based on analytical use cases, grain, report interactivity, and Power BI consumption patterns.

  • Implement data quality checks, validation logic, and testing frameworks to ensure trusted and reliable datasets.
  • Optimize SQL and model design to manage warehouse compute usage and reporting performance.
  • Document dimensional models, Power BI dataset design decisions, assumptions, and usage guidance to support adoption and long-term sustainability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and architects to resolve upstream data issues and align modeling approaches with enterprise data architecture standards.
  • Utilize modern analytics development practices including version control, peer review, and documentation.
