Strategic Operations Project Manager – Commercial DTE:
The client’s Data, Technology, and Engineering (DTE) team is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our Project Management and Strategic Operations group. This role combines the responsibilities of a Junior Chief of Staff with those of a Strategic Operations Manager, supporting the Commercial Medical External Affairs (CMEA) DTE leadership team in streamlining operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring successful governance across our CMEA teams.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the CMEA DTE Vice President and the CMEA Portfolio Director by managing key initiatives, supporting AI workstreams as needed (governance, plans, status, presentation materials, etc.), maintaining overarching technology team artifacts, and preparing and collaborating on executive-level presentations. This position requires a strong operational and project management background, excellent communication skills, and a disciplined, proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Support & Strategic Operations:
- Prepare high-quality executive-level presentations or outlines, reports, and dashboards in support of the CMEA Leadership and other senior leaders, effectively communicating operational performance, status, technology roadmaps, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead and support strategic initiatives and act as a liaison between the CMEA leadership team to enhance CMEA operations by reducing complexity, ensuring discipline, and streamlining activities.
- Act as a liaison between the CMEA leadership team and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
- Collect feedback from the CMEA leadership team and incorporate it into ongoing projects, initiatives and presentation materials.
- Maintain a centralized repository of key process documents and artifacts and their impact to support informed decision-making.
- Develop and manage processes such as:
- Cross-functional integrated planning and prioritization.
- Managing governance and read out materials for various DTE and commercialization forums and audiences
- Technology portfolio reviews.
- Support maintaining resource tracking and utilization reporting.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on metrics of operational performance to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
- Facilitate and management of our budget management and forecast, etc.
AI Initiatives Support:
- Support the development and implementation of AI governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define, document, and maintain technology and AI roadmaps, tracking progress and identifying risks or dependencies.
- Facilitate the alignment of AI initiatives with broader organizational strategies and priorities.
- Monitor AI-related projects and ensure adherence to established governance practices and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Business Administration, or related discipline).
- 5+ years of experience in technology operations, project management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of technology operations, process improvement, and project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with AI governance principles and practices is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering insights to executive leadership.
- Proficiency in tools for project management, data analysis, and presentation creation (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, data visualization tools).
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
