Job Description:
- IT Professional that works on a team responsible for facilities-based systems, including but not limited to, surveillance, door control, building automation, and telecommunication.
- This work includes all aspects of design, planning, installation, and support of the aforementioned systems, including supporting desktop PCs, servers, network devices, storage solutions, and surveillance-specific equipment.
- Install, configure, maintain, and monitor multiple state-wide networks, we filtering with Palo Altos and Zscaler, as well as mitigating issues as they arise.
- Responsible for extensive system documentation creation and updates.
- Work is performed at the agency’s nearly 200 locations, state-wide, including the agency’s many secure sites, often independently.
- Delegation and improvisational skills, creativity, adaptability, and strong troubleshooting skills required.
- Day travel also required, and long days are common.
- Provides documentation/project tracking and management reporting.
- Provides tactical and strategic input on overall systems planning and related projects.
- Surveillance, network, and server support capabilities with 10 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Independently, performs a variety of tasks.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
