The trainer will specialize in either underground or overhead construction, based on experience, while supporting broader workforce development initiatives across the organization. With strong hands-on field experience, the trainer provides instruction aligned to real-world project conditions and collaborates closely with operations and field leadership to ensure training reflects current practices.

Safety principles are integrated into all technical instruction, emphasizing proper planning, hazard awareness, and consistent execution. This is an individual contributor role requiring travel to support multiple project locations.

    • Overhead: working at heights, electrical hazards, and energized environments
  • Teach safe work practices, applicable regulations, and industry standards
  • Promote consistent adherence to approved construction methods and safety protocols

Coordination and Field Alignment

  • Coordinate with operations and project management to align training with active project scopes and sequencing
  • Support alignment between design intent and field execution through technical instruction
  • Incorporate project awareness concepts such as sequencing, scope understanding, and quantity tracking
  • Adjust training content based on field conditions, project requirements, and operational needs

Training Program Support & Evaluation

  • Support development and continuous improvement of training programs across underground and overhead disciplines
  • Deliver onboarding, refresher, and advancement training
  • Evaluate trainee competency through hands-on and field-based assessments
  • Provide feedback to leadership on workforce capability, gaps, and training effectiveness
  • Recommend updates to training materials based on field feedback and evolving standards
