Recruiter Tips & Tricks – Add Your Name Pronunciation on LinkedIn

Do you have a hard-to-pronounce name? 

LinkedIn offers a name pronunciation feature.

You can create a recording of how your name should be pronounced and add it right to your LinkedIn profile! 

This needs to be recorded on the LinkedIn mobile app, and cannot be added from a desktop.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how you can add your name pronunciation to your LinkedIn profile, or you can click here to view the online video tutorial on LinkedIn.

On Your Mobile Device

Go to your profile (the name pronunciation can only be added from the mobile app)

  • Tap your profile photo, then View Profile .

  • Tap the Edit icon 

  • Tap + Add name pronunciation

  • Tap the recording button and hold to record your name. 

  • If you want to manage who can listen to your recording, click on the eye button below to select your audience 1st-degree connections only or Al members 

  • Once you are satisfied with your recording, and your audience is selected tap Apply .
