Job Description:
A growing healthcare organization in the DFW area is looking for an experienced Surgical Tech that has at least one year of experience supporting Orthopedic or Ortho/Spine as a specialty for 3-5 yrs. Experience can be from hospital or surgery center. They strongly prefer someone that has computer skills doing internet research and has worked with Excel. This person should know the products and equipment used in general nursing.
Job Summary:
- As a Data Analyst you will perform data cleansing and analysis.
- The purpose of this role is to classify millions of medical products into categories that the healthcare organizations purchase and in such a way that it will drive sales up and will drive the buyer to greater volumes.
- Some of the job duties include your solid Excel or other computer SW experience to do sorting, importing/exporting.
- Willingness and good attitude in learning additional computer skills.
- Should have done research of data over the internet and be able to use common sense analyzing the data.
- Must be intuitive and have a natural curiosity - knowing when to ask questions and what types of questions to ask.
- This is a semi non-technical job and you will need to be capable of learning things quickly and an ability to do very detailed computer work for long periods of time (much different than the OR).
- Must have a tolerance level for repetitive work that can get very monotonous yet remain very detail oriented.
- Primary skills required is that ability to logic things out, categorize and use the internet to do some research for verification purposes.
- Any experience in a "service industry" will be very helpful.
- Responsibilities will be to work with the categorization and product groupings of various medical products and services.
Responsibilities Include:
- Working with Clinical Analysts that are performing quality assurance on functional equivalents, product attributes, and classification to UNSPSC and various Spend Categories, including the Contract Category to UNSPSC mapping initiative.
- Create and manage, with oversight, data flow processes and quality audits for the Product Enrichment team.
- As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with other teams and suppliers when necessary to resolve product or data issues to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Assist with planning by participating in stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and/or understand current business processes.
- The ideal candidate must possess an above average and broad knowledge of medical-surgical products.
- Role will balance multiple priorities while achieving high productivity levels.
