DFW client is looking for a CyberSecurity Architect. This is a direct hire position that is on site at their Arlington Texas location.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement secure enterprise architecture solutions that align with company cybersecurity and IT standards
Evaluate proposed solutions to ensure alignment with security framework; recommend improvements as needed
Communicate security concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Each Cybersecurity Architect is aligned to a business unit and works cross functionally with technical and business teams
Contribute to the delivery of cybersecurity of technical requirements for all projects that go on at a business and IT level
Stay up to date on emerging threats, technologies and industry best practices
Experience & Qualifications
7-10+ years of overall experience, including at least 2-5 years specifically in a cybersecurity architecture related role
Strong experience in cloud security (AWS preferred, Azure also accepted), infrastructure architecture, and zero trust frameworks
Proven ability to analyze architectural risk, perform threat profiling, and apply compensating controls in complex business scenarios
Familiarity with regulatory environments; experience in Financial Services, Insurance or highly regulated industries is strongly preferred
Deep understanding of security controls and how to apply them through technology, configuration, and architectural design
Ability to assess gaps in ideal-state architecture and propose acceptable risk-based solutions
Broad technical knowledge with the depth to understand and assess a range of security technologies and platforms
Additional Information
This is not a hands-on engineering role. However, it is one that requires a technical understanding as project teams often present alternatives and oppositions to the technical controls the Cyber Architecture team requires for a project to go live. This requires a technical understanding and a need to provide other mitigating technologies
Architects should have a strong conceptual understanding of modern architecture and the ability to assess unfamiliar technologies quickly.

The official requirement to qualify for this role is a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Management, or a related field. However, four additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
