Responsibilities

· Build Physical Data Models, Staging, Normalized, and Star Schemas including Slowly Changing Dimensions

· Design Data Pipeline Engineering infrastructure including job management, extract file tracking, error tracking etc.

· Architect an Extract, Transform, Load framework to build a Data Warehouse from scratch including significant expertise with at least one ETL toolkit such as Informatica, Talend, Ab Initio etc.

· Build a Technical Data Governance framework including capturing Technical Metadata, helping build Data Dictionary, Data Lineage etc.

· Integrate relational Data Warehouses with Non-Relational platforms such as Hadoop, Object Storage based platforms, Cloud based Data stores such as Aurora, Snowflake etc.

· Participate in solution brainstorming sessions with Technology & Data Engineering team members

· Facilitate and drive project meetings with both business and technology teams

· Oversees the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality in the capital market data space

· Leads Data Profiling and Data Quality analysis using SQL or other query based analysis

· Recognize and leverage data sources both internally and externally to enhance the analysis capabilities

· Reverse Engineer data specifications from source systems through data discovery, analysis, and other techniques.

· Creates flow diagrams, structure charts, and other types of system, process, data flow representations

· Manage changes to requirements and baseline through a change control process

· Utilizes standard processes, design and testing tools throughout project development life cycle

· Work closely with the operational functional teams, operations management and personnel, and various technology teams to facilitate a common understanding of requirements and priorities across all areas

· Perform business and data analysis in development of requirements and in ongoing support of production applications

Minimum qualifications:
8 – 12 years of business analysis experience

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience interacting extensively with users.

· Extensive experience authoring FRD's and BRD's

· Experience in working through the SDLC cycle and support SIT, UAT and User signoffs.

· Advanced SQL knowledge

· Good analyzing capabilities, to break complex problems into simpler ones.

· Ability to explain domain concepts to Developers
