Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable, high-quality data is available for analytics and decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines

  • Build and optimize data models for analytics and reporting

  • Ingest data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, and third-party systems

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across data platforms

  • Optimize data storage and query performance in data warehouses and data lakes

  • Collaborate with analytics, BI, and data science teams to support business use cases

  • Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows

  • Automate data processing and deployment using CI/CD practices

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for data systems


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java)

  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse)

  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Airflow, dbt, Informatica, Talend, or similar)

  • Solid understanding of data modeling (dimensional, star/snowflake schemas)

  • Experience working with large datasets and distributed data systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop)

  • Knowledge of data lakes and lakehouse architectures

  • Experience with API integrations and streaming data pipelines

  • Understanding of data governance, security, and privacy standards

  • Relevant certifications in cloud or data engineering are a plus
