Job Description
- The Epic Cogito Business Intelligence Developer (BID) will play a key role in the client's Epic transformation project as part of the Enterprise Analytics team.
- This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and other analytics solutions using Epic Cogito tools to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical background, extensive experience with Epic Clarity/Caboodle data models, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality BI solutions within healthcare settings.
- Gather and analyze reporting requirements from various stakeholders across the company.
- Design, develop, and test reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Epic Cogito tools (Reporting Workbench, Radar, SlicerDicer, Metrics).
- Write complex SQL queries to extract data from Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models.
- Collaborate with Epic application teams and other analytics teams to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Epic reports and reporting tools.
- Develop and maintain documentation for reports and dashboards.
- Stay current with the latest Epic Cogito features and functionalities.
- Mentor and train other team members on Epic Cogito reporting.
- Contribute to the overall success of the client's Epic transformation project.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
- Epic Cogito certification(s) or Proficiency (Cogito Tools Administration, Cogito Fundamentals, Clarity, Caboodle, etc.) is required for the role.
- Extensive experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models, including certification.
- Experience in working with clinical data within the Epic environment.
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT, analytics, or data management.
- 5+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Cogito, Power BI).
- Strong SQL development skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with data visualization best practices.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry data standards and regulations.
- Experience working in a large, complex healthcare organization.
