Job Description
Enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to support the Benefits Specialist by providing process, operational, and special project support across a variety of benefits programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with the administration and tracking various benefits programs, including education reimbursement and retiree benefits
- Assisting with basic leave and accommodation requests, workers ‘compensation reporting, etc.
- Support in the development and distribution of a variety of benefits communications
- Create documentation for benefits procedures, as necessary
- Identify efficiencies and opportunities to streamline and automate processes
- Complete a variety of special benefits projects as assigned, and assist the department with other projects or assignments as needed
- Provide webinar, event planning, and programming support
- Assist with ongoing benefits administrative work (e.g. invoice processing and reconciliation, benefits budget, audits, mailings, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Administration
- At least 2 years’ experience in HR, with direct benefits experience highly preferred (or relevant combination of education and experience)
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Strong process orientation and critical thinking abilitie
- Advanced skills in Excel and Word
