Infrastructure Engineer

Abacus is looking to help grow their clients team is looking with a highly skilled and exceptional Infrastructure Engineer with Windows/IIS/PowerShell/VMware experience who would lead diverse IT Infrastructure efforts interfacing with multiple vendors, delivery teams, business units, managed service providers and IT representatives.

Desired Skills

• 4+ years of Experience TFS
• 4+ Years of Experience with development, troubleshooting and performance tuning .NET applications
• 4+ years of Experience in installing and configuring Web Servers e.g. IHS or Apache
• 4+ years of Experience working with Unix and Windows environments 
• 3+ years of Experience in Shell, Jython, PERL, PowerShell scripting
• 2+ years of Experience with VMware environments
• Experience with automation – Infrastructure as code (ex. Puppet) tools or deployment automation scripting
• Experience in installing and administering Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft IIS & Microsoft Active Directory
• Provide good understanding of concepts related to server load balancing, clustering and other application scaling concepts
• Troubleshoot and resolve middleware issues across development, testing, and production environments
• Knowledge and experience with the various security components such as WebSphere security, LDAP, SSL certificates and other third party security products. Able to review the performance monitoring of the respective environment, determine opportunities to refine the configuration of a component and determine new resource / capacity requirements
• The individual must be experienced in performing problem diagnostics to determine the root cause of an issue
• Strong technical documentation and presentation skills
• Candidate must be a team player who works and communicates well with technical and non-technical team members
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and possess the ability to work with limited direction while being highly productive
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Additional Skills 

• 2+ years of experience in data caching technologies eg: Gigaspace
• Experience with Dynatrace and VMware Log Insight 
• Strong Network experience
• Experience with Database & Database related technologies
