Job Description:
Required Tasks to be Performed:
- Design, build, and implement new web pages and sites.
- Integrate sites with back-end applications.
- Migrate legacy applications to the web.
- Use multiple web development languages.
- Work on small to large, moderately complex websites.
- Work on multiple websites as a project team member or project lead.
- Mentor junior technical staff.
- Work with customers to identify needs.
- Document processes and procedures.
- Page styling.
- Perform bug fixes.
- Update web pages to ensure site accuracy and currency.
- Participate is setting organizational Web development strategy.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing Web applications and sites.
- Work with database administrator to design, develop, and update databases as they relate to Web applications.
- Ensure security of all Web sites and related applications.
- Monitor and report on Web site traffic and performance.
- Administer, troubleshoot, and support Windows IIS application servers.
- Utilize accessibility evaluation tools to ensure the organization’s web presence is responsive, inclusive, and compliant with current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Knowledge of Internet Information Systems Services.
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2012.
- Knowledge of Apache Subversion/GIT.
- Knowledge of Relational Databases.
- Knowledge of HTML, JAVASCRIPT, CSS, XML, ASP, PHP.
- Strong understanding of Internet programming languages, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP.
- Thorough understanding of application development methodologies.
- Knowledge of SCRUM.
- Experience with computer graphic and multimedia design.
- Comprehensive experience with structuring, developing, and implementing interactive corporate Web sites.
- Proven experience in installing, upgrading, and maintaining Web servers and associated
- operating systems, including IIS and Apache.
- Knowledge of database development, including Oracle and MySQL.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of the ADA and 508 compliances.
- Ability to conduct research into emerging Internet technologies and programming languages.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Working knowledge of source code control, testing, and application deployment.
- Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks.
- Ability to provide consultation on complex projects and be a top-level contributor/ specialist.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other Information Technology major, or equivalent work experience.
