Fort Worth based company is looking for an IT Security Analyst. This is a contract to hire position.The Security Analyst will be responsible for managing IT security efforts working to ensure the internal security posture of the IT environment. This position will work with project teams and resources to ensure that data policies, security policies and best practices are followed as our systems, products and services are designed, built, deployed and upgraded safeguarding our systems and customers information. In addition, is responsible for information security policy development and maintenance; design of security policy education, training, and awareness activities, and coordinating investigation and reporting of security incidents. Working with the appropriate information technology resources, the IT Security Analyst II will support project activities to include participation in peer reviews of deliverables, attendance at meetings and document meeting minutes. Job Description Works with the appropriate IT teams to mitigate identified security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives. Develop, implement, enforce, and communicate security policies and procedures for data, software applications, hardware and telecommunications. Monitor security events on a daily basis for suspicious activities and identify potential security threats and violations. Respond to activities deemed to be improper or in violation of IT Security policies Facilitate internal and external network attack and penetration tests and application penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments. Perform audits of user account provisioning for potential security threats and violations. Develop manuals and ensure system support personnel receive/maintain security awareness and training. Perform computer forensic investigations when required. Span of Control Has no direct or indirect reports Works under only general direction. Typical Minimum Education & Experience; Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT Security experience Experience in a PCI environment required Minimum 6 months experience; SIEM, IPS, vulnerability scanning CISSP Certification (Certified Information Systems Security Engineering Professional) preferred Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail Experience with web content filtering solutions, DLP and NAC solutions a plus Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Maintain a high level of confidentiality About The InSource Group:The InSource Group supplies select information technology specialists to some of the area's most prominent companies.
