Job Description
  • The IT VMO Manager is responsible for overseeing the governance, performance, and strategic alignment of IT vendors to ensure delivery of high-quality services and compliance with organizational standards.
  • This role acts as the primary liaison between internal IT stakeholders and external vendors, driving value through effective vendor relationships, risk management, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Governance & Strategy
  • Develop and maintain vendor management policies, processes, and performance frameworks.
  • Align vendor strategies with IT and business objectives to support digital transformation and operational efficiency.
Contract & Compliance Management
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with security, privacy, and risk mitigation standards.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Implement vendor scorecards and dashboards for performance tracking.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Financial Oversight
  • Manage vendor budgets, cost optimization initiatives, and consolidated billing processes.
  • Identify opportunities for savings through rate benchmarking and competitive bidding.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the single point of contact for vendor-related escalations and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with procurement, legal, and IT teams to ensure seamless vendor onboarding and offboarding.
Technology & Tools
  • Drive automation and process improvements for vendor lifecycle management.
  • VMS Implementation experience
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT vendor management, procurement, or supplier governance.
  • Strong knowledge of VMS tools (e.g., Coupa) and IT service delivery models.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC, ISO).
