Our Irving Client is looking for a Network Architect for a long term opportunity.Job Description:This role will collaborate with architects and engineers across the organization to deliver target architectures, blueprints, roadmaps and integrated solutions. Responsible for the strategy and design of voice, video and data network solutions on a converged network, but also the design and delivery of integrated solutions that include cloud infrastructures, virtualized architectures and information security. Understands new and emerging technologies that translate into clear architecture blueprints and an optimized converged network to improve performance, simplify management and drive cost out of the IT operation. Collaborates with peers to align on global standards, solutions, processes and tools; ensuring these are defined and documented. Builds and maintains a working lab environment of key technologies to test current solutions and validate new ones. This role is primarily focused on project delivery, but still retains responsibility for the Level 3 day-to-day support as required. Technical Qualifications-Work closely with the Manager, Global Networks to define the To Be network architecture and the 3-5 year strategic roadmap that aligns with the business and IT strategies, including annual investment plan -Collaborate and align with the Information Security Officer to define, support and deliver key projects on the Information Security roadmap to improve our risk profile -Define the target network architecture and blueprints for sites to support voice, video, data network and application solutions-Collaborate with ICT and application peers to deliver reliable, secure, cost effective and well performing infrastructure services, applications and integrated solutions -Support the ITIL processes, IT Service Management and network monitoring/ management tools In-depth demonstrated knowledge designing, implementing and supporting:-WAN, LAN, Wireless and Data Center Architectures (e.g., IP routing, BGP, MPLS)-VPN Solutions - Remote Access, 2 Factor Authentication, PKI/Certificate-based solutions, Site-To-Site Tunneling and IPSEC/SSL VPN-WAN Acceleration solutions -VoIP and Quality of Service -Extensive experience with Cisco products, IOS command set, VLAN -Network convergence to include specific experience designing and deploying IP telephony, video conferencing, unified messaging solutions, cloud infrastructures, virtualization and application delivery -Demonstrated knowledge of key protocols such as TCP, IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Access Control Lists (ACLs)-Monitoring and Management tools-ITIL and IT Service Management processes and tools Relevant Technologies-Cisco Nexus (3000, 5000, 7000), 3750, 29xx, ASA -Riverbed Steelhead WAN Acceleration-F5 Load Balancing -Firewall (Palo Alto, Cisco, Astaro)-VPN Solutions (Cisco ASA)-Wireless Solutions (Cisco, Ruckus, Meraki) -Solarwinds Orion, OpNet Suite -ServiceNow, OTRS -Microsoft, server, storage, backup, virtualization, directory, database, operating systems, desktop technologies or other relevant infrastructure experiences a plus The following current/active certifications are preferred:-Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)-Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)-Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional (CCIP)-Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)The InSource Group supplies select information technology specialists to some of the area's most prominent companies.
