This exciting North Dallas client is looking for a Network Engineer/System Administrator who is responsible for system administration and network operations for a rapidly growing software company providing hosted and enterprise applications. You will manage Linux and Windows servers in DFW office and co-located data centers, solve network issues involving performance and security, work with development as part of deployment team implement software and provide technical guidance on performance and tuning.In addition, you will perform the following: Research and recommend IT approaches to improve product performance, security, reliability, and scalability If required, interact with customers for demos, training, integration of the product(s) into customer's solutionContribute towards preparation of proposals for potential customers/prospects as and when requiredFive (5) years:Linux OS, Red Hat Fedora, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003Knowledge of MySQL & Oracle Knowledge of Web Services, ColdFusion, HTML, JBoss, Tomcat DNS fundamentals, including diagnostics with Unix tools Network fundamentals, including diagnostics with Unix tools Networking: Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, NHRP, ATM, PPP, MPLSAbout The InSource Group:The InSource Group supplies select information technology specialists to some of the area's most prominent companies.
