Job Description
The client seeks a Project Manager to lead the implementation of the federally mandated Advancing Interoperability and Improving Prior Authorization Processes Final Rule.
This role reports to the Director of Business & Systems Integration and is responsible for:
- Managing vendors, project teams, and key deliverables.
- Driving implementation of interoperability requirements.
- Meeting the client's compliance milestones in 2026 and 2027.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for the interoperability project.
- Oversee and manage the project management vendor; ensure deliverables meet objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
- Facilitate acquisition of resources and coordination across the company, business partners, and external entities.
- Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (30+ members).
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Facilitate project team meetings, workgroups, and stakeholder discussions.
- Produce reports, presentations, and communications to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Identify, track, and mitigate risks/issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal funding requirements, including invoice and HR reporting.
- Foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, resolve conflicts, and build consensus.
- Adhere to the client's project management and procurement standards.
- 5+ years managing complex healthcare technology projects.
- Experience managing vendor contracts within healthcare IT.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems (Medicaid, Medicare, commercial payers).
- Understanding of SDLC and APIs.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of delivering projects >$1M and with 20+ staff.
- Strong organizational, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid).
- Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent).
- Expertise in business requirements gathering and documentation.
- Familiarity with the Massachusetts healthcare landscape.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong conflict resolution and team facilitation abilities.
