Job Description:
Position Summary:
The PMO Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex clinical applications and enterprise IT initiatives that support care delivery across the health system. This role operates within the Clinical Applications Enterprise team and reports to the PMO Director, supporting strategic initiatives under executive leadership responsible for population health, ambulatory services, hospital-based clinics, community health, IT operations, and enterprise project delivery.

The Project Manager ensures successful execution of cross-functional projects that enable digital transformation, optimize clinical workflows, and improve outcomes across the care continuum.

Key Responsibilities:
Project & Program Delivery:
  • Lead end-to-end project management for clinical and enterprise IT initiatives.
  • Manage scope, timeline, budget, risks, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Drive implementation of enterprise clinical applications and workflow enhancements.
  • Ensure projects align with strategic goals supporting population health, ambulatory care, and community health services.

Stakeholder & Executive Engagement:
  • Partner with clinical leaders, operational stakeholders, and IT teams to define requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to PMO leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Facilitation of governance processes and executive steering committee updates.

PMO & Governance Excellence:
  • Ensure adherence to PMO standards, methodologies, and documentation practices.
  • Maintain project dashboards, reporting metrics, and portfolio health indicators.
  • Support financial tracking, forecasting, and project benefit realization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with clinical applications teams, IT operations, and digital innovation teams.
  • Support enterprise initiatives that enhance interoperability, care coordination, and patient engagement.
  • Collaborate with innovation and digital transformation teams on pilot and scaling efforts.

Change Management & Adoption:
  • Support organizational readiness and change management activities.
  • Ensure successful adoption of new workflows and technologies by clinical and operational teams.
  • Identify training and communication needs to support successful implementations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of IT project management experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience managing clinical applications or EHR-related projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PMO methodologies, governance frameworks, and project lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience supporting population health, ambulatory care, or community health initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Epic or other enterprise clinical platforms.
  • Experience working within large health systems or integrated delivery networks.
  • Exposure to digital innovation or transformation initiatives.
