Job Description
Our client seeks a Senior Analytics Engineer to work on our growing Corporate Reporting and Analytics team. Our ideal candidate for this position is someone with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Information Systems or similar.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Information Systems or similar.
  • 5+ years in the data space or comparable experience.
  • Keen problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
  • Has the interpersonal skills necessary to work well with others in teams and collaborative work situations.
  • Passion for building and maintaining data pipelines/workflows.
  • Possesses a desire and ability to learn new skills/technologies.
What You’ll Need:
  • Practical experience with SQL (preferably MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL), data modeling/data warehousing, and Python.
  • Practical experience with visualization libraries and tools such as matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Superset.
  • Basic understanding of predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and data mining (theory, algorithms, and application).
  • Curiosity about how things work and tenacity to learn and bring new perspective.
  • Understanding of cloud-based technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Salesforce and/or marketing experience is a preferred, but not required.
What you’ll work on:
  • Creates and maintains data pipeline architectures to meet continuing needs of stakeholders.
  • Solve novel and complex business problems with high quality maintainable code.
  • Ensures data is prepared for easy visualization and reporting.
  • Data gathering from a variety of sources.
  • Express complex, technical topics to management, peers, and others who may not possess a strong data background. Explain deep or technical topics in easy-to-understand terms.
  • Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, and other tools to support our stakeholders' needs. Relentlessly focused on minimizing defects and technical debt.
  • Advocate for leading data practices and make sure that our business users make data driven decisions.
  • Provide high quality documentation.
