Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Oracle Data Engineer that has experience working with RMAN, has done Performance Tuning, works with Cron Jobs, wears many hats gathering specifications from the business professionally and then also can/has done some mentoring of less senior Data Engineers.
The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and middleware experience, with a focus on DBA duties, data transformation and ETL processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge data technologies in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as one of 2 go-to Engineers in support of the Oracle DB/ERP systems.
- Use RMAN for DR, responsible for Performance Tuning and several years of experience with Cron Jobs.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Manage data flows using middleware solutions to ensure seamless integration across systems.
- Design, implement, and optimize data transformation processes and ETL workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Support and enhance existing systems such as Tecsys, Oracle DB, Oracle Fusion, and Oracle APEX.
- Write and troubleshoot scripts to automate tasks and improve data processes.
- Work with pharmacy and EDI systems to ensure accurate data exchange and integration.
- Maintain and improve data quality and integrity across various platforms.
EDUCATION
- Four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Proven experience with PL/SQL.
- Hands-on experience with middleware solutions.
- Strong understanding of data transformation and ETL processes.
- Oracle DB experience.
- Scripting skills in languages such as Shell, Python, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Based in the US Eastern or Central time zone.

- Oracle APEX experience.
- Prior experience working in healthcare or pharmacy industries.
- Certifications related to Oracle or data integration.
