Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead and grow our talented development team.  The ideal candidate will bring a passion for technology, strong leadership skills, and a drive for continuous improvement, playing a key role in delivering high-quality software solutions and advancing our platform's innovation.
  • The Software Development Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of the software development team, guide architectural decisions, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, reliable applications.  This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, champion software quality, and help shape the future of our pharmacy management platform.
  • The client takes immense pride in its client relations and support and expects all team members, including the Software Development Manager, to not only have the necessary technical skills, but great interpersonal and communication skills as well.
Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers, promoting a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Oversee daily operations, including project assignments, resource planning, and prioritization
  • Conduct regular code reviews, set coding standards, and encourage best development practices
  • Foster continuous improvement through feedback, professional development, and career growth opportunities
  • Guide the team in designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions aligned with business needs
  • Collaborate with product managers, QA analysts, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and project timelines
  • Drive architectural decisions, technical innovation, and maintain the overall technical health of the platform
  • Manage project delivery schedules to ensure on-time completion and quality standards are met
  • Implement and optimize software development processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability
  • Identify and remove technical bottlenecks and barriers to team productivity
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience,2+ years in a leadership or management role
  • Strong experience in Microsoft technologies (C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server)
  • Experience with modern web development frameworks and front-end technologies (e.g., React or Blazor)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices is a plus
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Proficiency with Git version control and development workflows
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing and mentoring development teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and effectively convey technical concepts
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset
