The VDI Systems Integration Specialist Advisor is a seasoned professional with a proven track record of relying on their innovation, creativity, technical prowess and leadership skills to deliver robust, efficient and stable solutions to their clients.
The Advisor is a resource who has demonstrable experience supporting and managing large enterprise environments. Applicants should be highly motivated, technology driven, possess strong communications skills, can develop strong cross-group collaboration and are willing to take on the challenge of dealing with ambiguity. Candidates should also have a broad understanding of both server and desktop / application virtualization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as an escalation point for all support-related activities.
- Coordinates technical activities on specific accounts and ensures KPI and deadlines are met.
- Design and implement complex VDI / App Delivery Virtualization projects using various technologies
- Support complex system configurations and standards for Citrix, VMware and MS Hyper-V platforms
- Supports his/her team when technical issues rise in his/her scope of expertise.
- Develop repeatable standards and implementation processes to ensure product uniformity and quality
- Directly interact with clients, account managers, and peers in support of complex VDI/ App Delivery environments
- Apply best practices, strategies, methodologies, and approaches to large scale projects
- Create and maintain support documentation, work instructions and knowledge base articles
- Facilitates collaboration and information sharing team.
- Motivates, encourage team collaboration and sharing of best practices.
- Fosters innovation mindset.
- Focus on automation and optimization of resources to improve efficiency.
- Is available and able to drive high severity incidents that occur within the scope of their role
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
- Adhere to the Change Management and other ITIL processes.
- Accurate ticket documentation of the support request and troubleshooting steps taken
Required Skills
- 7+ years of IT infrastructure technical implementation experience required
- 7+ years of engineering and/or support experience related to x86 technical offerings such as VMware, Microsoft, and Citrix.
- Advanced and proven track record of engineering and supporting highly available Citrix environments involving Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and/or Citrix DaaS. (CCA highly preferred).
- 5+ years of experience with Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Technical knowledge of storage subsystems.
- Server hardware fundamentals
- In-depth technical knowledge on on-premises hypervisors (vSphere, XenServer, Microsoft Hyper-V) and SQL (VCP VMware Certified Professional highly preferred).
- Thorough understanding of enterprise datacenter technologies including Networking, Security, TCP/IP, SAN and NAS, physical datacenter practices
- Extensive skills with Windows Networking, Active Directory, and profile management.

- Demonstrated ability to assess, implement, and troubleshoot IT Infrastructure systems and configurations in the designated practice using procedures, scripts, and templates.
- Demonstrated engineering expertise (requirements gathering, problem solving and recommendations) in large and complex customer environments
- Demonstrated ability to achieve a high level of Customer Satisfaction on all engineering engagements
- Respect deadlines and procedures agreed at team level or with the customer
- Ability to listen, learn and improve
- Organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignment simultaneously
- Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
- Cloud solutions or certifications Azure/AWS is considered an advantage (AZ-104, AZ-140, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate)
