Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), well versed in the integration of Waters Empower CDS and integration of other complex and simple instruments to their LabVantage v8.8 LIMS and LES. The engagement will be structured as an assessment and expected deliverables will be a set of technical recommendations and specific Empower, complex instrument and simple device plus LabVantage configuration design recommendations for integration of Empower and instruments in scope to our LabVantage LIMS / LES. Our client will also expect the SME(s) to assist in building a project approach with estimated efforts to rapidly prioritize, design, build, validate and deploy the most important instrument & method integrations.

Our client expects to use out of the box LabVantage capabilities to minimize validation and data integrity risks.  The SME or SMEs must bring the experience and skills listed below to guide the client quickly and efficiently through any options to arrive at the best design for their users and environment. The SME must be available to travel to Boston and work onsite.

Required skills & experience:

• Prior hands-on experience evaluating, designing & configuring the LabVantage Empower Connector to integrate Empower 3 (v3.6.1) to LabVantage (v8.8)
  • Should be well versed in any options that are available to integrate Empower and LV LIMS / LES
  • Should be able to evaluate the client’s environments and make recommendation(s) / options for how to best integrate in their environment
  • Should be aware of optional design and configuration approaches and able to advise on best options given their technical configurations, master data setups and functional configurations of both systems
• Prior hands-on experience evaluating, designing & configuring LabVantage SDMS to bi-directionally integrate complex (file-based) instruments and LabVantage LIMS / LES
  • Should be well versed in options available to interface complex instruments of various types to LabVantage LIMS / LES
  • Should be able to evaluate our client’s environments and make recommendations / provide options for how to best interface instruments in their env
  • Should be aware of and able to advise on best options given the client’s technical configs, their NuGenesis instrument data archive solutions and functional configurations to minimize data integrity risks
• Prior hands-on experience evaluating, designing and configuring LabVantage LIMS / LES to interface simple instruments for data capture
  • Should be well versed in setup and configuration of hardware devices (E.g. Lantronix) to connect simple devices to networks
  • Should be well versed in setting simple analytical device options (balances, meters etc.) to best enable data capture in LabVantage LIMS / LES and minimize data integrity risks
