Compensation: Competitive; Open to negotiation based on experience

Duration: 4 months

Position Summary:
Lead municipal staff in the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) process for the creation of Workday Data Gathering Workbooks (DGW) as part of a Human Capital Management (HCM)/Payroll implementation. Remaining builds include Parallel and Production, with smaller, practice builds anticipated.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing technical knowledge and expertise related to the ETL process
  • Coordinate with legacy system software owners to extract data from legacy systems
  • Lead the data mapping activities from the legacy systems to Workday with support from staff functional leads and Subject Matter Experts Lead data pre- and post- validation activities
  • Conduct Lessons Learned, create/maintain clear ETL and validation processes
  • Review and analyze data sets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and external standards
  • Collaborate with IT and data management teams to resolve identified issues
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards
  • Audit data and files, document findings, prepare reports with recommendations as appropriate, and monitor implementation of corrective actions

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field
  • Proven Experience with: Workday HCM/Payroll functional areas; certification (current or expired) preferred, Leading ETL efforts, preferably with Workday as target system, Data analysis and management tools such as SQL, Excel, and auditing software, and conducting data processing audits
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL databases, Microsoft Excel, Python, and Tableau
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • High level of integrity and adherence to ethical standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
