Specialized Talent Solutions for a Growing Digital Infrastructure Organization
A rapidly growing digital infrastructure services organization supporting hyperscalers, network operators, data centers, AI infrastructure, and high-capacity fiber networks partnered with Talent Groups to strengthen its specialized workforce and support continued growth.
Building on an established relationship with the client’s executive leadership, Talent Groups brought a strong understanding of the organization’s expectations for quality, responsiveness, and technical expertise. The partnership has focused on specialized Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) talent and continues to expand into additional areas, including engineering and project management.
CHALLENGE
Rapid growth created a need for highly specialized professionals with directly relevant industry experience, technical knowledge, recognized credentials, and the ability to contribute quickly in complex digital infrastructure environments.
The initial demand was concentrated within the organization’s EHS function, spanning leadership, management, training, and technical roles supporting environments such as telecommunications, fiber and OSP networks, data centers, electrical infrastructure, and utilities.
The specialized nature of these positions significantly narrowed the available talent pool. Successful candidates needed the right combination of technical expertise, field experience, industry knowledge, leadership capabilities, and relevant credentials. Depending on the role, requirements included certifications such as CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) and OSHA 500, along with specialized expertise in areas such as trenching and excavation, confined space, traffic control, and DOT compliance.
APPROACH
Talent Groups developed a targeted, domain-focused recruiting strategy designed around the client’s specific operating environment rather than relying solely on traditional recruiting channels.
Our team combined strategic sourcing across specialized talent markets with an established professional network spanning digital infrastructure, telecommunications, data centers, utilities, engineering, and EHS. Internal technical recruiting expertise enabled us to assess candidates against highly specific requirements while maintaining the speed necessary to support a rapidly growing organization.
Candidate evaluation went beyond traditional resume matching, emphasizing directly relevant industry experience, career progression, longevity, technical expertise, and role-specific credentials. For EHS positions, this included evaluating certifications and specialized safety expertise relevant to telecom, OSP, utility, construction, and digital infrastructure environments.
Close collaboration with client leadership allowed Talent Groups to continually refine candidate profiles as requirements evolved, helping identify professionals who could address immediate workforce needs while also contributing to the organization’s continued growth.
IMPACT
Within the first year of the partnership, Talent Groups has successfully placed eight specialized EHS professionals with the organization, supporting workforce needs across Tennessee, Florida, Utah, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia, with additional positions currently in progress. Placements have spanned EHS leadership and management positions, including EHS Directors and Managers, as well as specialized technical training roles such as an OSP Technical Trainer.
The partnership has helped the client respond to rapid workforce demand while maintaining a high standard for technical expertise and industry relevance. Strategic sourcing has introduced professionals with experience across digital infrastructure, telecommunications, OSP and fiber networks, data centers, electrical and utility environments, engineering, and other complex infrastructure settings.
By prioritizing directly relevant experience, specialized credentials, career stability, and long-term potential, Talent Groups has helped the organization strengthen the depth and capabilities of its workforce rather than simply filling immediate vacancies.
The success of the initial EHS engagement has expanded the partnership into additional areas of the business, with Talent Groups now supporting engineering opportunities and exploring project management needs. This growth demonstrates our ability to apply a proven recruiting approach across a broad range of specialized talent needs within the digital infrastructure sector.
