Connecting Data Across Borders to Power the Future of Aerospace Analytics

A global aerospace and manufacturing leader sought to modernize its supply chain data management to improve analytics, visibility, and decision-making across subsidiaries. With operations spanning multiple divisions and international markets, the organization needed a centralized solution that could aggregate, synchronize, and analyze large-scale data sets from across its enterprise..

CHALLENGE

The client previously managed subsidiary supply chain data through disconnected systems that required separate reporting, limiting their ability to analyze performance and forecast operations holistically. To address this, the organization launched an initiative to consolidate all subsidiary data into a single cloud-based analytics repository, enabling unified access and reporting across the enterprise.

Key challenges included:

  • Integrating hundreds of disparate data tables from outside the client’s network and beyond the firewall
  • Maintaining data integrity and security throughout replication to the cloud
  • Coordinating multiple technical teams across onshore and offshore locations
  • Meeting aggressive deadlines to deliver a scalable data platform to support enterprise reporting

APPROACH

Talent Groups engaged as a strategic project services partner, providing a project team consisting of a dedicated IT Project Manager, 2 Sr. SAP Business Intelligence Consultants, and a Supply Chain/Distribution Solutions Developer to work across multiple functional teams and ensure a successful cloud migration.

Our approach included:

  • Structured Iterative Planning – Organized data replications by schema and managed delivery in over 10 iterations to maintain accuracy and momentum.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Coordinated onshore and offshore teams with expertise in SAP SLT, Oracle GoldenGate, EDI, MFTS, and GCP Cloud.
  • Agile Execution – Hosted daily standups to assess progress, remove impediments, and maintain alignment across stakeholders.
  • Transparent Reporting – Delivered weekly status updates to leadership, ensuring visibility and accountability at every stage.

IMPACT

Through effective coordination and strong cross-team collaboration, Talent Groups helped the client successfully replicate over 500 tables of supply chain data from a subsidiary into their GCP cloud environment. The effort enabled enterprise-wide visibility and real-time analytics that previously required manual compilation from separate systems.

Key Outcomes:

  • Successfully replicated 500+ data tables across 10 iterations
  • Created a secure and efficient pipeline for cross-network data transfer
  • Delivered unified reporting for holistic supply chain analytics
  • Improved collaboration between onshore and offshore teams through Agile coordination
  • Recognized by leadership for advancing the organization’s long-term data analytics strategy
