Epic EHR Implementation for Retail Clinic

Epic EHR Implementation for Retail Clinic

Our client is the largest provider of retail healthcare services in the United States, offering expanded care options that allow clinicians to screen, diagnose, and treat patients, provide follow-up care for chronic conditions, and deliver services such as minor illness and injury treatment, immunizations, and annual exams—both in-store and virtually.

CHALLENGE

The client was looking to replace its proprietary, in-house EHR with a new, nationwide Epic implementation. This first-of-its-kind initiative required a flexible, highly skilled project team to support business process redesign, system selection, and the full lifecycle of implementation—including build, training, and rollout. With an aggressive timeline and a broad national footprint, the team needed consultants who could adapt quickly, learn rapidly, and solve problems in real time.

APPROACH

To support this large-scale rollout, the client selected Talent Groups as its primary implementation partner to scale staffing and ensure project success. Talent Groups delivered a comprehensive team to meet all project needs, including Epic leadership, Project Managers, Application Coordinators, Interface and Integration Developers, Report Developers, Instructional Designers, Principal and Credentialed Trainers, and Infrastructure-certified professionals.

IMPACT

Talent Groups’ consultants implemented a stand-alone Epic instance and successfully rolled it out to more than 600 clinics nationwide. The implementation included Epic Ambulatory, Resolute, Cadence, Prelude, and Real-Time Eligibility, enabling continuity of care between patients’ primary care providers and the client’s retail clinics while supporting a consistent, scalable clinical experience across locations.
