“Who has the power: the client or the candidate?” the “Animal” asked, throwing another controversial question at EdgeLink’s own Reed Kremer. Last week during his March 13th Morning show, the self-proclaimed “Recruiting Animal” challenged Reed and his other guests with spirited and controversial recruiting topics.
When Recruiters Meet Radio

Reed was on top of his game, taking each question in stride. After the initial antics where Reed and the Animal sang their own rendition of a Taylor Swift song, the conversation turned to recruiting. Heated debates ensued surrounding startups, the candidate market, and a recurring argument over who has the upper hand – candidates, recruiters, or clients? Although the conversation became heated at times, Reed was able to speak intelligently and provide valuable insights into his views on the recruiting process.
Back in the Denver office, we listened in live, filling the office with laughter.
Ashley, a Recruiter on our Contract Team, had this to say about the show: “Reed was very well spoken, did not over-talk, waited his turn, but was still very aggressive.”
Travis, an Account Manager on our Contract Team, said, “I believe it was a good experience for him. He put himself out there knowing that he would have to be quick witted, a great characteristic for a salesman.”
Everyone had something good to say about Reed’s interview, even the Animal himself. Reed received an average score of 90% from the hosts, who were impressed at how knowledgeable he was at such an early stage of his career.
Reed said this about the interview: “I had a lot of fun participating in the show. The Animal is always up for a lively discussion about all things recruiting, and it was a great way to share some of my views and learn from the other recruiters who participate. The collection of recruiting talent gathered on the show is unlike anything you’ll see at meetups or recruiting networking groups. It was a challenge to debate recruiting topics with each and every caller. Despite being younger than some of Jerry Albright’s blog posts, I was able to hold my own and add some value to all of the recruiters and job seekers listening.”
We are lucky to have such a great Account Manager on our team! Be sure to check out “The Animal” 10a MST every Wednesday live.
