What is a typical day like?

A typical day is a combination of troubleshooting, system upgrades, and planning for the next initiatives to address data protection issues across the enterprise. Corporate data is constantly growing and changing. Methods of protecting that data need to adapt and evolve over time to keep pace with the data growth.

What is the most rewarding thing about what you do?

Working with colleagues to develop solutions to challenging technical problems.

What would you say to someone considering going into your role for the first time?

Learn to pay attention to detail. Don’t take anything for granted. Never trust a computer

What would you say to someone considering a contract role for the first time?

A contract role can be a good way to offer something positive to a client who needs help while also providing yourself with opportunities to learn. Even if you stay within your area of expertise you will have the opportunity to learn something new with every assignment, because every organization does things a little bit differently.
