Developing a New Care Coordination Platform on Salesforce Health Cloud for a Leading Health Care Provider

Our client, the world's leading provider of dialysis products and services, cares for people with chronic kidney failure (CKD), of whom around 3.5 million worldwide depend on dialysis treatment.

PROJECT

Our client wanted to create a better platform for care coordination for patients with Chronic Kidney Disorder. They wanted better communication between care providers as well as a better experience for patients. They decided to embark upon a journey to create a Patient and a Care Team platform, and the integration between them. One element of this effort was for patients receiving treatment in their home.

They wanted to provide one place for Home Dialysis patients to view and manage everything to do with their treatments, from their ordering of supplies to viewing clinical data. They also decided to build out their Home Nurse functionality which includes nursing workflow and day to day order management.

CHALLENGE

The client required a large team of seasoned Salesforce developers, Business Systems Analysts, Testers, and Project Managers to build HealthCloud applications. These were long term assignments that would extended or converted to perm, and were required to be onsite.

Senior Developers needed to be experienced in Salesforce.com’s Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce web service API and Force.com, along with Lightning’s Single Page Architecture and design system. Project Managers needed to be PMP and CSM certified, and Business Systems Analysts needed to have an extensive background in clinical systems and a broad understanding of the healthcare industry, as well as the ability to connect the dots, problem solve, and think ahead.

APPROACH

We worked closely with the managers of the Clinical IS development teams and the PMO to outline a strategy for identifying the best consultants on the market for this work, and collaborated on the approach to finding people with the right experience and who would be a cultural match for their environment.

To ensure strong technical skillsets, our recruiting team used a customized screening tool, as well as several other tactics to vet high quality, authentic candidates.

Our team established a streamlined interview process which involved several rounds of vetting on our side, to help our client quickly choose candidates that were right for their team.

IMPACT

Talent Groups sourced talent across all levels to support this development effort, placing 10 Senior Developers, 2 Salesforce QA, 9 BSAs, and 3 Project Managers.

The client successfully launched several phases of this project, improving Patient Experience and the level of Care Coordination in their organization.

The client continues to work with Talent Groups for ongoing staffing needs as a result of our ability to create a strategic staffing solution that provided them the quality of resources needed within their financial constraints.
