CLIENT OVERVIEW

Our client is a large healthcare organization with an academic medical center, physician network, several hospitals, community care, and the largest home health and hospice provider in the region. They offer a seamless and integrated health journey for the patients and families they serve.

CHALLENGE

This organization was embarking on an enterprise-wide Epic implementation which included bringing together multiple health systems that were all on different legacy EHR's, making this one of the largest initiatives this client has undertaken. Working on a short timeline, our client needed to quickly assemble strong teams with deep Epic Revenue Cycle knowledge to bring subject matter expertise and complete the build and implementation of Epic applications.

APPROACH

Because our client was moving from multiple EHRs to a single enterprise-wide EHR system, their internal FTEs all had knowledge of separate legacy systems and they needed Epic certified consultants to be the subject matter experts in the build and implementation during this project. Talent Groups was able to leverage our extensive network of consultants certified in Resolute HB, PB, PB with SBO, HIM, Claims, and Charge Router to help fill multiple roles on the Revenue Cycle teams.

We searched nationally to find the best top talent across the US. Because the majority were non-local, our consultants were tasked with traveling onsite to collaborate with the team, build rapport with the business, and to offer in-person training to all end users. Queen was able to support travel coordination efforts between our client and our consultants for a seamless experience. Some consultants worked remotely, and Queen helped to facilitate the onboarding quickly and efficiently, including shipping laptops and managing consultant care virtually.

In a talent market where it is a big challenge to recruit and retain resources, Talent Groups stood out by networking with our nationwide Epic community to find and vet candidates. We strove to supply high-quality, dependable consultants through referrals, vetting, and reference checks, and minimized turnover with outstanding consulting care and our attentive team.

IMPACT

Talent Groups leveraged our 10+ years of experience working with top Epic certified talent to provide 15 consultants to this Revenue Cycle team. Our consultants managed the build, testing and go-live support at multiple locations for Resolute Professional Billing, Resolute Hospital Billing, HIM, Cadence, Prelude and Security applications. They also assisted with the import and organization of legacy system data to the new Epic system to ensure the hospitals could continue running their operations smoothly during this transition. We were also able to offer consultative advisement to our client with Epic market information to ensure top talent was recruited.

Overall, our client was able to successfully roll out the Epic EHR in 12 months on time and recognized Talent Groups as a critical partner to enable them to meet their deadline. Our consultants continue to play an important part to provide ongoing support after Go-Live, along with additional knowledge transfer and training for the organization’s internal FTEs. Having a strong and talented team to support this complex initiative helped ensure the financial stability and success of the health system during the transition from their legacy EHRs to Epic.
