Innovative Application Development for Healthcare Provider

Our client is a large, nationally distributed healthcare organization operating thousands of outpatient care locations across the United States.

CHALLENGE

Our client has Physicians across the organization deliver care in a wide range of settings—including clinics, hospitals, and treatment facilities—making consistent access to technology a challenge. During clinical rounds, providers were not always able to use laptops to enter data in real time, resulting in delayed documentation and fragmented patient records.

In addition, patient information was spread across multiple treatment programs and systems, making it difficult for clinicians to quickly access a complete and accurate view of each patient’s history. The organization needed a secure, mobile solution that would enable clinicians to document care at the point of service and reliably access comprehensive patient data—anytime, anywhere.

APPROACH

Talent Groups assembled cross-functional delivery teams—including Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, and Software Engineers—to design and build secure, clinician-focused mobile applications.

The teams established a canonical enterprise data model and developed SMART on FHIR applications to enable interoperability across the organization. Core clinical and financial systems were transformed into a bidirectional data lake, synchronizing data with clinical platforms and feeding information into a FHIR server. Data was then delivered back to downstream systems in their native formats, providing flexibility to evolve systems and swap components without disruption.

IMPACT

Talent Groups’ teams delivered a Physician Rounding App that enables clinicians to securely access and document patient information in real time while conducting rounds. The mobile application is tailored to clinical specialties and integrates directly with the electronic medical record and supporting systems to ensure accurate, up-to-date data at the point of care.

In addition, the teams developed a Patient 360 application that provides a unified, single-view architecture, aggregating data from multiple clinical and operational sources. This solution allows providers to easily view, update, and act on comprehensive patient information across care settings.

Beyond application delivery, Talent Groups supported the client through rapid response to complex sourcing needs, ensuring continuity of development, knowledge retention, and long-term stability of the delivery teams.
